Option 1: Revising the sounds and words
Show flashcards: Show flashcards and ask pupils to say: yogurt, yams, yo-yos, zoo, zebu and zebra.

Game: Pass the ball
Give flashcards for pupils to pass with the music, then when the music stops, those who get the flashcards will say the words.
Option 2: Singing
Give some pupils the flashcards yogurt, yams, yo-yos, zoo, zebu, and zebra.
Ask the whole class to sing the songs in Unit 9 and Unit 10 together. 
Have pupils holding the flashcards stand up and show flashcards when they sing the words they are holding. 
Lead to Activity 1, Fun time 3.

1. Circle and match. Then say. 12 minutes
Step 1
Have pupils look at each picture and say the words. Ask What do you see?

Ask pupils to look at the pictures then circle the letters to make words correctly. Then say. 
Explain how to do the task. 
Model with the first word if necessary. 
“What’s the first letter of Yoyo? (letter Y). Now, let’s find and circle the word yo-yo.”
Do the same with the others.
Give further support to those pupils who find it difficult to do the task.

Have pupils exchange their answers in pairs or groups. Ask them to point to the words and say them until they feel confident. Go around
and give further support to those who find it difficult to do the task.
Point to each word and encourage pupils to say it.

Call some pupils to write the words on the board, ask them to say in front of the class (as many pupils do it as possible), then practice speaking in pairs.
If teacher uses sachmem.vn or slides, he/she can show the wordsearch and call on one or two pupils to go to the board and point to the words in the wordsearch.

Extension: 
After the pupils find the words and pronounce them, organize a short game. Divide the class into two teams. Call on one pupil from each team to go to the board. Call out a word and the two pupils have to write them on the board. Give a point to each correct word. Pupils from the teams take turns to write the words. (to make it easier, teacher spells the words for the pupils to write)

2. Let’s play: What and where. 13 minutes
Step 1
Write target words (yogurt, yams, yo-yos, zoo, zebu, and zebra) on the board. Draw a circle around each word.
Tell pupils to look, read and remember the words. 
Give instruction: Teacher will erase words one by one, pupils must try to remember it. 
To the second word, pupils must try to remember the first and second ones. Continue until all the words erased and pupils can say all five from memory.

Step 2
Model the game. Erase the word yogurt. Pupils raise hands to say the erased word.
 Follow the same procedure with the rest.

Have the whole class play the game. When teacher erases the last word, ask some pupils to say all the words.
Praise those who can say all correctly.

- Show the flashcards and have pupils say the words again.
Option 1:
Give each flashcard for a pupil to show for other pupils say the words in groups (make a competition). 
Option 2:
Teacher holds all the flashcards, show them one by one, then have the pupils guess what the next flashcard is.
- Tell pupils to practise saying the letters, sounds and words at home.

Quick guessing game:
Show flashcards (yogurt, yams, zoo, zebu, and zebra) quickly for the pupils to guess what they are. 
Pupils raise hands then say out loud the words when they see the flashcards.
Option 2: 
Have pupils play The Matching Game. Stick the picture flashcards on the board. Write the words yogurt, yams, zoo, zebu, and zebra on the board. Call on some pupils to go to the board and draw lines to match the words and the pictures.
Lead to Activity 3, Fun time 3.

3. Write and say. 13 minutes
Step 1
Draw pupils’ attention to Picture 1 (say “Look at Picture 1”) and encourage them to say yogurt.

Have pupils spell the words yogurt then write on their small boards, check their writing. 
Call some pupils bring their boards to the board to show their writing. Praise the good writings.
Do the same with the others.

Ask them to write the words on their books, say Write the words, please!
Get pupils to check their answers in pairs. Then ask some pairs to give their answers. Give comments and confirm the correct answers.

Show the pictures in Activity 3 on sachmem or on the screen. Point to the words randomly and call on some pupils to read the words in front of the class.
Otherwise, show the flashcards and invite some pupils to look at the flashcards and say the sentences.

Have pupils say the completed sentences aloud (say “Now say.”). Do this several times, with pupils saying the sentences both individually and in chorus. Correct their pronunciation (if necessary), praise them when their pronunciation is good.

Extended activity: 
Ask pupils to work in groups and practise speaking the words by doing actions and guessing with the word yogurt, yams, zoo, zebu, and zebra... in five minutes. Ask some pupils to go to the board, do actions for other teams to guess.

4. Let’s play: Pass the word. 12 minutes
Step 1
Say Let’s play: Pass the word.
Divide the class into two teams: Team A and Team B. Have each team stand in a line.
Have pupils listen carefully,
look at the pictures and spell the words.

Give the first pupil in each team a flashcard. Explain that he/she must read the word and then whisper it to the next pupil in the line. Then the second pupil whispers it to the third one, and so on. When the word reaches the last pupil in the line, he/ she should call it out. The first team calls out a correct word will win.

Have pupils take turns to play the game in groups one by one.

Show flashcards and have pupils say the words. Ask some pupils to make sentences with the words.
Option 2:
Give the flashcards to some pupils, then teacher calls a word, the ones who have flashcards will come to the board, show the card and say the word.
